How it works

1. Install pdfmy Scan (free, for Windows and Mac).
2. In PDFMy, click ‘Set up ‘PDFMy’ printer’ under ‘More’ – confirm once on Windows.
3. Print from any program and choose ‘PDFMy’ (Mac: in the print dialogue, ‘PDF’ → ‘In PDFMy öffnen’).

Frequently asked questions

Does the printer need its own driver?

No. On Windows it uses the built-in driver ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’, on the Mac the PDF menu of the print dialogue.

Can other users see my printouts?

No. On Windows, every user gets their own printer and a folder that only they can access. On terminal servers, the printer is not offered.
